Even though I’m not a fan of the cold, I do love seeing the beautiful warm colours of reds, oranges and yellows that are created as the trees slowly start to lose their leaves for the winter.
I enjoy getting out in the Dandenong Ranges and the surrounds and capturing the colours of Autumn. I’m hoping to start venturing out to different places to capture more of these beautiful scenes.

Last year I was fortunate enough to have one of my Autumn photos of the Alfred Nicholas Hut in Sassafras, featured in ‘In Focus Women’ Book of Women in Landscape Photography from around the World.
At the time of shooting the image, most of the beautiful yellow leaves had already fallen into the lake giving a great foreground of colour for the hut.
I went back to this same place a couple of weeks ago but as we have had such a mild Autumn the leaves had yet to change and fall so I ended up with a very different coloured image of the same scene.

Also this Autumn I have been photographing waterfalls and forests as well as the Autumn leaves. I will put some images up in my Gallery, so please go and check them out
